There are a lot of different kinds of 'missionary trips'. This one focusses on (1) Challenging us as PPAC members to stretch ourselves and, as a result, grow in our relationship with God and one another...and (2) Joining the ministry that Peace Portal Community Church (in Uganda) is doing and encourage them in their work. Who's Going Anyways?

In such a large church, it's easy to know something vaguely but not know many (if any!) details. Some of you have heard about Uganda....even donated one of the 200 Kid Packs bags that we are taking over...but you don't know who is actually taking them over. Others of you know one particular person very well...but have no idea who the rest of the people they are going over with. Have no fear...you now know...

And we're off...

Hi Friends, Family, and our Peace Portal Community...

We are just days away from taking off...and we could not have done it without many of you and your practical support....thank you! Twenty-eight bags have been stuffed full of your generous donations, the trip has been fully paid thanks to your support of individual team members, and your prayers for us up to this point (and onwards) are invaluable. Once again....thanks.

This site is intended to inform you a bit more about who is on the team, what we'll be doing, and (when possible) offer trip updates to include you in the journey and invite your prayers. Thanks for being interested enough check this blog out....we hope you are encouraged as you read about our experiences. And for those of you who have invested in this particular trip in whatever form, we hope that you feel encouraged because you have played a part in making this a reality.

Departure: Wednesday, July 1 2009 @ 8pm...the clock ticks...
