And what are you doing?

There are a lot of different kinds of 'missionary trips'. This one focusses on (1) Challenging us as PPAC members to stretch ourselves and, as a result, grow in our relationship with God and one another...and (2) Joining the ministry that Peace Portal Community Church (in Uganda) is doing and encourage them in their work. Here is what our time away will look like:

Team Schedule
July 1 Departure from Vancouver at 8pm to London (with a 7 hour lay over)

July 2 Departure from London

July 3 Arrive in Uganda early Friday morning and drive 2.5 hours to Mpigi

July 4 Spend time with the 52 kids from our 3 Children's Homes

July 5 Go to church....stay at church...stay longer at church

July 6 Daily Projects (Project #1: Helping the House moms at our Children's Homes), Teach @ House Church

July 7 Daily Projects (Project #2: Doing Care & Compassion visits to the most needy families in the area)

July 8 Girls Trip to the Entebbe Zoo (with Children Home's Girls)....boys activity day, Teach @ House Church

July 9 Boys Trip to the Entebbe Zoo (with Children Home's Boys)....girls special activity day

July 10 Team trip to the Equator & into the craziness of Kampala (the capital city)

July 11 Eye-clinic, Foot-clinic, and time with the Children Home kids

July 12 Church, Eye-clinic, Foot-clinic

July 13 Daily Projects (Project #3: Painting the new eating area and a mural in our 3rd Children's Home)

July 14 Daily Projects (One of the above three)

July 15 Help at an AIDS orphanage, VBS program for 280 'Kid Care' (school) children, Teach @ House Church

July 16 Help at an AIDS orphanage, Ministry at a Prison

July 17 Leave for Debrief and Safari

July 18 Debrief & Safari

July 19 Drive to Entebbe & conclude the debrief and stay overnight

July 20 Early morning departure and arrival back in Vancouver on the same evening!
